Unknowingly I posted a picture of me in a Nike hat, letting people know I are rock with Nike and I like their consciousness of the current situation. Let’s not mistake the climate that we were in when Colin Kaepernick did his peaceful protest of police brutality of black men and the fact these rogue cops suffered no consequence for killing these human beings. I too was a victim of police brutality, on more than one occasion. I’m from LA, its pretty much par for the course.
Now on the other hand how do we begin to discuss the fact the more black people die at the hands of other black people? If we don’t value our own lives how can we expect others to put more value on our lives than we have on our own lives. #Dumbshit
I have to admit I was a bit shock at the venomous comments. “Fuck Nike, anyone that supports Nike I will not support them”, really? thats a whole bunch, you think? For anyone who cares I have been wearing Nike’s since I was a child. I wear Nike basketball shoes because they support my feet the best, they say I have “flat feet” and I have a bum ankle and I walk a lot for my job, I like wearing the best player’s shoes because I feel like I’m the best at what I do as well.
I’m truly blessed to be able to afford the best, and I like the awareness. My kids will never know about this. They live a “suburban lifestyle”, they only will know through this blog.
I’m guessing and only time we can come together as human beings is when aliens invade….
We got to do better….. The_persistent_Mitchell
