This is the place that changed my path…I was shot at, by more than one gun (not by cops), but God allowed me to walk away without any physical injuries. If this didn’t happen I may have stayed in my current situation. This made me take a hard look at the decisions and situations I put myself in, prior to being shot at. I hadn’t been out of California for any major amount of time until I made the decision after the shooting to go to #Utahstate and pursue football. #WestLACC
Although that wasn’t the path that I was going down (to be professional football player); it allowed me to have tolerance/respect for all the races and all the cultures that I was exposed to and it allowed my mind to be open.
This was a few of many challenges that came and still continue to come in my life. In hindsight #God was supplying me with all this “raw material”.
Honestly didn’t mean to make this post; the picture popped up and with what I’m dealing with right now, it really struck a nerve and made a lot of sense to me on why I do what I do today.
My “I’m free and don’t prescribe to victimhood facebooks lives” really #triggered some people wrong and I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry.
What I discovered is life is full of decisions; either you become good at making decisions and live and learn from the consequences or you don’t make a decisions and by default you’re actually making a decision and letting life happen to you.
In a weird way I guess I have to say thank you to those guys that shot at me that night because they helped me to learn to make decisions. #imdone
